The plane….

The plane did not leave,

and many heave a sigh of relief,

and yet futures for those aboard,

and many more

still hang in the balance,

others are deciding their fate,

some for them,

some against them,

the vulnerable become more vulnerable,

the place of safety,

the place of hope,

has become a place of horror,

and exclusion,

where treated as little more than criminals

the traumatised are re-traumatised….

+

Who will answer for this?

Who will cry out

for the voiceless?

We give thanks for those who have,

who care,

and yet many of us feel useless

in the face of a seemingly compassionless regime,

does it care about you and me,

how can it when it treats the vulnerable so badly…

+

I will cry out,

speak out,

pray,

I will refuse to be silent,

even when I feel silenced,

I will cry for mercy,

seek justice,

support those working where I can,

I cannot put myself into the shoes of those still waiting,

but I will cry out,

speak out,

pray…

About Sally C

How do I describe myself, I am not what I do, (I am a Methodist Minister), I am not who I am related to (I have 5 wonderful children, 2 lovely granddaughters and 2 lovely grandsons). I am a seeker truth, a partaker of life in all it's fullness and a follower, sometimes stumbling, sometimes celebrating of the Christian pathway. I seek wholeness, joy and a connectedness to all things through a deep reconciliation with the God whose love blows my socks off! I love walking, swimming and photography, I dabble with paint and poetry...

  1. Reverend Jean holyhead says:

Appalling behaviour on the part of the present cruel Government we appear to be stuck with in this Country. Prayer and action urgently needed.
