Lent Day 16- Give yourself a break

Dear Sally,

hold on a moment,

look at what you have done today…

you got up,

you fed the cats,

you cleaned the kitchen,

even swept the floor,

you started your exercises,

but then the cat was sick,

you stopped and cleared it up,

you really couldn’t have left it could you..?

Then you washed your hands and made a coffee,

who can blame you,

you listened to the news,

you read,

you wrote in your paper journal,

then when you came upstairs again you cleaned your office window

and watered the plants,

you wrote the previous blog,

asking me why you are so up and down….

All I can say is stop striving,

give yourself a break…

remember you are known, consecrated, appointed,

but most of all you are loved.

God.

About Sally C

How do I describe myself, I am not what I do, (I am a Methodist Minister), I am not who I am related to (I have 5 wonderful children, 2 lovely granddaughters and 2 lovely grandsons). I am a seeker truth, a partaker of life in all it's fullness and a follower, sometimes stumbling, sometimes celebrating of the Christian pathway. I seek wholeness, joy and a connectedness to all things through a deep reconciliation with the God whose love blows my socks off! I love walking, swimming and photography, I dabble with paint and poetry...
