Autumn equinox

it will be alright,

as the seasons turn,

and warmth seeps from our days

it will be alright,

all will be right,

as leaves fall, and

low hanging fruits invite us

to stock up for winter,

it will be alright,

even as death and quiet dark

move ever closer to us,

and the day of the dead, and saints long gone

beckon us with their stories

of hard times won through,

and perils overcome,

of faith, of perseverance….

as we face the perils of our days

it will be alright,

for they offer us their hands

as we accept the turning

of the world to the equinox call to darkness

and the deep unstirred sleeps

of cold and night,

it will be alright…

for this has always been the way of things…

it will be alright,

for the world will turn, and turn again,

til we all return to our fullest

deepest being,

and at last

all will be right!

About Sally C

How do I describe myself, I am not what I do, (I am a Methodist Minister), I am not who I am related to (I have 5 wonderful children, 2 lovely granddaughters and 2 lovely grandsons). I am a seeker truth, a partaker of life in all it's fullness and a follower, sometimes stumbling, sometimes celebrating of the Christian pathway. I seek wholeness, joy and a connectedness to all things through a deep reconciliation with the God whose love blows my socks off! I love walking, swimming and photography, I dabble with paint and poetry...
