A prayer in vulnerability…

Keep me open,

Keep me loving,

Keep me seeking,

Keep me peace-full,

Keep me from claiming my right(s)

From demanding my way…

Help me not to build a wall

To protect myself,

But rather in vulnerability

To extend my hand,

And, should it be refused

To try, and try again….

Save me from declaring

Anyone my enemy,

Help me instead to hear their story,

To understand their fear…

May I be grace-full,

Especially when I feel

Graceless,

When I go unseen,

Unheard,

Unaccepted,

And when I feel unacceptable,

Transform my groans

To a recreative prayer…

Keep me,

Help me,

Save me,

See me…

About Sally C

How do I describe myself, I am not what I do, (I am a Methodist Minister), I am not who I am related to (I have 5 wonderful children, 2 lovely granddaughters and 2 lovely grandsons). I am a seeker truth, a partaker of life in all it's fullness and a follower, sometimes stumbling, sometimes celebrating of the Christian pathway. I seek wholeness, joy and a connectedness to all things through a deep reconciliation with the God whose love blows my socks off! I love walking, swimming and photography, I dabble with paint and poetry...
