today I need God to mother me,
to wrap me in care and comfort,
to make no demands upon
my fragile heart, to simply be….
to hold me, and soothe me,
to feed and tend me,
to hear me without judgement or defense…
to allow the unresolved to be unresolved,
no advice, no fixing,
for She knows I have no energy to follow,
no strength to stand without her supporting arms…
today I need God to mother me….
