time rolls on
the year flows from
darkness into light,
but tonight we pause
acknowledging the shadows
embracing the dark,
then we turn
and in the turning
we recieve life afresh,
her possibilities
stir unseen
below the surface of the earth,
and in our lives
these ebbs and flows,
these seasons
of contemplation and celebration
call us to
remember creations
deeper rythms,
of renewal,
of rest, so
the year rolls on,
and from darkness to light
we turn….
