I saw heaven bleed,
reaching out with untold
glories, shedding them across the earth
fingers caressing gently
wooing the darkening earth
to life….
I saw heaven bleed,
she bade me pause and wonder,
she drew me from my shell
of protected existence
welcomed me
warmed me,
stirred me anew,
I saw heaven bleed,
I could have missed her,
so easily have missed her….
but I saw heaven bleed and I will never
be the same…
