Lord you have searched me,

and you know me,

You know my faults and my flaws, my repeated sins,

and calling me clean you draw me to see beyond them,

You know my struggles, heart-breaks and heartaches,

but you don’t abandon me in the way that even I abandon myself,

You know my habits, good and bad,

my coping mechanisms, the things I hide,

and hide behind,

AND STILL YOU ARE WITH ME….

You don’t abandon me to the pit,

You don’t reject me, even when my heart, mind and life are in chaos….

No, You enter the chaos and call me to your peace,

and your love overwhelms me, breaking through my grief and pain,

You do not ask me to be strong,

You do not ask me to have life all sewn up, to get it right to be “together”

I have nothing to prove to you !

You call me fearfully and wonderfully made,

You know my potential, and see the end from the beginning,

You bring light to my darkness,

Hope to my despair,

Peace to my turmoil,

And You hold me

In your arms of everlasting love….

and I can safely say….

Search me Lord, break through the barriers of my excuses,

my reasons to be unloved and unlovely…

Search me and help me,

to find myself at home
