not from grief,
or shadow,
or pain,

out hope,
always the invitation to dance,

hand in the darkness
inviting me to pour
my whole self
into you,
you offer your heart
without holding back,
and call me to dance,
slowly at first,
a dance of grief,
and you will hold me
until I am ready for joy…
