be still

can you hear me?

are you there,

in this inbetween place of

twilight shadows,

of whispers,

questions

and doubts

hurled into the void,

echoing now

with a strange silence,

clanging now

as hail on brass…

can you hear me?

are you there?

I cry out

’til exhaustion

puts an end to my striving,

and I hear your voice

at last…

Be still,

be still and know…
